Meet Olivia - Piano Teacher
Olivia, originally from Beijing, China, has been playing the piano for over twelve years. She began her training at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing under the guidance of Dr. Bing Wang and continued her studies in the U.S. with Dr. Adam Aleksander, a respected teacher in the greater Seattle area. Olivia reached the highest level of the Central Conservatory of Music's piano program at a young age and also passed the highest level of the ABRSM.
Her teaching approach focuses on making piano lessons both enjoyable and goal-oriented. Olivia emphasizes helping students connect with the emotions inherent in each piece, fostering independent emotional interpretation and understanding. She also tailors her approach to each student's unique musical tastes, balancing the teaching of fundamental piano skills with the freedom to choose pieces they are passionate about.
